Mary "Marie" Feldman

Mary "Marie" Feldman, 78 of Detroit died Wednesday, March 7, 2007 in St. Johns River District Hospital after an extended illness. She was born April 2, 1928 in Leelanau, Michigan to the late Michael and Regina (Brzezinski) Galla. She married Felix "Sam" Feldman in Holy Rosary Church in Isadore, Michigan on April 29, 1950. Mrs. Feldman retired in 1993 from Fisher Dynamics where she worked in quality control. She was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church in Detroit and enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, reading and mostly spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: Diane and Patrick Hamlett of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Denise Dubay of Lake Orion, Felix "Sam" and Cheryl Feldman of Richmond, Sharon Feldman of Seattle, Washington, Sue and Thomas Vitale of Salinas, California, Linda and Manuel Medina of Chesterfield Township, and Ronald and Jan Feldman of Hazel Park; siblings: Alvena Popa of East Pointe, Esther Crocker of Suttons Bay, Susan Strobbe of St. Clair Shores, Steven and Joyce Galla of Traverse City, Leo and Loretta Galla of Maple City, Walter and Marget Galla of Cedar, Tony and Georgetta Galla of Cedar and John and Virginia Galla of Cedar; seventeen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam in 1979, sister Dorothy Popa and brothers Paul and Donald Galla. A funeral Mass will be said Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 10:30 a.m in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond. Reverend Joseph Plawecki will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 9 in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond with a rosary service at 7 p.m., and 10:00 to 10:30 on Saturday in the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Lung Association.
