WILLIAM JAMES HARMON age 75 of Romeo, formerly of Almont, MI. and Hollywood, FL. died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 in his home after an extended illness. Mr. Harmon was born December 25, 1934 in Lenox Township Michigan to the late, Earl and Juaneta (Mackley) Harmon. He married Ann Victor in Keego Harbor, MI. on February 19, 1955. Bill graduated in 1952 from St. Augustine Catholic High School in Richmond. He and his wife, Ann owned and operated a "Dairy King" fast food and ice cream store in Hollywood, Fl. for twenty-six years. They then moved back to Michigan and opened "Harmon's Almont Village Grill" for four years until his retirement. He was a former member of St. Augustine's Ushers club and enjoyed traveling in his motor home. He is survived by his wife, Ann, children, Mary Ann Harmon, William (Shelly) Harmon, David Harmon and Michelle Harmon all of Almont and Diane (Sean) Dare of Fredericksburg, VA. siblings, Gordon (Geri) Harmon of Rose City, Janice (Murray) Evans of Richmond, Charles (Sharon) Harmon of Armada, Karen (Karl) Rapp of Romeo, Robert (Marie) Harmon of Berville, Ronald (Lorraine) Harmon of Romeo and Carl (Karen) Harmon of Armada, grandchildren, Michael, Chrissy and Brian Harmon and Sean Jr. and Marie Dare and great-grandson, Conner William Harmon. A funeral Mass will be on Friday, April 9th at 9:00am in St. Clement Catholic Church in Romeo. Reverend Stephen Reckker, pastor will officiate. Visiting will be Thursday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. A rosary will be recited at 6pm on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
