WILLIAM ANTHONY GANT 86 of Columbus Township died Wednesday, October 24, 2007 in St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren. Mr. Gant was born December 21, 1920 in Detroit to the late William and Josephine (Dietlin) Gant. He married Mary Kenyon in Clovis, New Mexico on February 8, 1946. Mrs. Gant died December 17, 2003. Bill graduated from Maryknoll Seminary and was retired as a lab technician at Stroh's Brewery after thirty-three years. He was a bee keeper and owned the Lazy "B" Honey Ranch in Columbus Twp. and a representative for Amsoil Oil products. He was a member of St. Philip Neri Church and the Beekeepers Assoc. He is survived by his children, Philip and Denise Gant of Warren, Mark Gant of Columbus Twp. and Mary Ann and Andrew Jackson of Roscommon, a sister, Patricia Smith of Garden City, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his siblings, Josephine Welch, Joseph, Lawrence, Jerome and Rosemary Gant. A Memorial Mass was celebrated on October 27, 2007 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Columbus Twp. Reverend Irvin Bauer officiated. Burial was in St. Philip Neri Cemetery.
