William Gordon Caughell

William Gordon Caughell, 78, of Columbus, passed away with his family at his side Saturday, May 13, 2017. William was born to the late Gordon and Irene Caughell on May 3, 1939. Beloved husband of Giuliana Caughell; Loving father of Monica Caughell, Barbara (Keith) Dumka, Sarah (Billy) Blair and Lisa Caughell. Loving grandfather of Julie Dumka. Survived by his siblings Dianne Caughell, Judith (John) Rhoades, Margaret (George) Shirkey, James (Janet) Caughell, Marilyn (Michael) Simondet, Susan (Charles) Muckle and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his children Melissa and Michael Caughell, his brother Thomas Caughell and his nephew David Caughell. William, a Vietnam Veteran, enjoyed sports, farming and helping people. He had a soft spot in his heart for children and animals. William, a good man, will be missed. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
