WILFORD "Willy" BAUMAN 85, a lifelong resident of Richmond went to be with his Lord Friday, March 21, 2014 in McLaren Macomb Hospital. Mr. Bauman was born April 22, 1928 in Detroit to the late Walter and Lillian (Schuldt) Bauman. He graduated from Detroit Public High School in 1946 and served in the United States Army for two years. Willy retired in 1985 as a lineman for AT&T. After retirement he served as the custodian at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Richmond where he was a member. He enjoyed gardening, wood working, hunting and doing puzzles. He is survived by his children; David (Susan) Bauman of Lebanon, PA and Susan (Glenn Zanoli) Holmes of Wales Twp., siblings; Alvin Bauman of Richmond, Elaine VanNuck of Richmond, Marvin (Rowena) Bauman of London, KY and Gerald (Pat) Bauman of Richmond, sister-in-law, Ruth Bauman of Richmond and grandchildren; Joshua Bauman, Kelly Campbell and Jennifer Smith and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Roger on November 8, 2012. A funeral service will be Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 11:00am in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Richmond. Reverends John Langewisch and Gerhardt Doroh will officiate. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans. Visiting will be Monday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:00 in the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
