Virginia Frances Szymanowski
September 17, 1925 — October 8, 2022
Virginia Frances Szymanowski, 97, formally of Lenox Twp, went to be with her Lord and Savior October 8, 2022. Virginia was born September 17, 1925 to the late William and Hedwig (Polmanski) Olewnicki. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (fiancé, Andy Wroblewski) Bettencourt, grandson, Bryan (Yolanda) Bettencourt and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Fred Szymanowski, sisters, Genevieve Wroblewski, Helen Gutt and Emily Schweiger, son-in-law, Larry Bettencourt. Virginia was a long time parishioner at St. Augustine Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Sodality. She enjoyed ceramics and loved to Bake.
Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. Funeral Mass will at 9:30 a.m. with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time Mass Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St, Richmond, MI 48062.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Michigan Chapter, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or St. Augustine Altar Sodality.
