In December 1967, he met the love of his life, Nancy Geil, and they were married on December 28, 1968.

In 1973, they welcomed a daughter, Monica, and in 1975, a son, Jonathan. Tim took great pride in his family and enjoyed attending his children's piano and guitar recitals. He was a talented woodworker, and his creations adorn the homes of many relatives and friends. He loved Corvettes, cats, Hillsdale College, reading, and entertaining his grandchildren with his stories and his unique sense of humor. In retirement, he and Nancy traveled extensively, visiting Italy, Greece, Germany, and Norway.
