Stephen David Thorpe

STEPHEN DAVID THORPE age 61 of Richmond died unexpectedly on Tuesday April 15, 2014 in Henry Ford Macomb Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Thorpe was born June 4, 1952 in Brampton, Ontario, the son of the late Frank and Marjorie (Gilchrist) Call. He married Darlene Stragier in Utica on January 21, 1977. Steve retired from Ford Motor Company, Utica Trim Plant after thirty-two years service. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, All Saints Catholic Church in Memphis, North Macomb Sportsman Club, and UAW Local 400. He was an avid bow and gun hunter. He is survived by his wife Darlene, son Matthew and Shelly Thorpe of Chesterfield, brother; Douglas and Susan Thorpe of Grand Haven, and grandchildren Joshua and Ashley Thorpe. A funeral service will be Saturday, April 19th at 10:30 am in Rewalt funeral Home, Richmond. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 8 pm and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30am. Burial will be in Richards Cemetery, Richmond Township. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Capuchin Ministries.
