Stella Mary May, 93, lifelong resident of Casco Twp. died Thursday, February 3, 2011 in St. John River District Hospital. She was born November 9, 1917 in Detroit to the late Josef and Victoria (Lapatka) Karolak. She married Anthony May in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond in February, 1944. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, gardening, and mostly taking care of her family. She is survived by her son Gerald and Sharon May of Casco, daughters-in-law Cynthia May of Troy and Eileen May of Westland, seven grandsons and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony in 2006, sons Larry and David May, and siblings John, Edward, Chester, Walter, and Mary Karolak, and Helen Tokarski. A funeral Mass will be said Tuesday, February 8, 2010 at 10:30am in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond. Fr. John Nedumcheril will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Richmond. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 in the church. Memorial donations can be directed towards a Mass said in remembrance of Stella May.
