Stella J. Haslem

STELLA JANE HASLEM age 93 of Clay Township died Monday, March 30, 2015 in St. John River District Hospital in East China, Michigan. Mrs. Haslem was born November 20, 1921 in Hamtramck, MI to the late Stanley and Tillie (Riechel) Adamczyk. She married John Haslem in Richmond on November 18, 1948. Mr. Haslem died October 13, 1979. Mrs. Haslem, along with her husband owned the Country Inn in Snyderville for several years. She also was a waitress at the Eagles Club in Fair Haven and the Richmond VFW Post. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, quilting and taking care of her flowers. She is survived by her children; Jean Tout of Marathon, FL, Patrick Haslem of AZ and Anne (Martin) Sebastian of Casco, twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son Joseph Haslem in 2003 and her brother Edmund Adamczyk. A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond with visiting from 9:30 to 10:00am. Reverend Phil Ching, associate pastor will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested for the wishes of the family.
