Shirley A. Schultz, 75 of New Haven died unexpectedly in her home Sunday, January 7, 2007. She was born September 8, 1931 in Detroit to the late Correl and Margaret (DeVos) Brooks. She married Charles Milton on November 29, 1947. He died in 1975. Mrs. Milton then married Andrew Schultz on December 4, 1976, and he later passed away in 1993. Mrs. Schultz enjoyed being a bowling mascot, crocheting, and mostly spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters Linda (Francis) Leenknegt of Lenox, and Sandra (Eugene) Rinke of Richmond, grandchildren: Steven (Tammy) Leenknegt, James (Jill) Rinke, Matthew (Jessica) Leenknegt, John (Brenda) Gross, Michelle Leenknegt, Tony Gross, Rachelle Rinke, and Jessica Milton, and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Charles Milton Jr. on November 6, 2006, daughter Peggy Elizabeth Milton in 1967, grandson Karl Leenknegt in 1998, brother Correl Brooks, and sister Lily Leonard. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 11:00am in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Rev. Warren Hood will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 9 and Wednesday from 10 to 11am. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery, New Haven. Memorial contributions may be directed towards the wishes of the family.
