SHARRON ANN SCHULTZ age 65 of Cadillac, Michigan formerly of Casco Township died unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday, August 5, 2009. Mrs. Schultz was born February 10, 1944 in Detroit to the late Donald and Bernice (Brewer) Guthrie. She married Lawrence Schultz in Richmond on July 7, 1967. Sharron graduated from Centerline High School in 1962, Eastern Michigan University in 1966 where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority and earned her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Michigan in 1970. She taught in the Warren Consolidated System from 1966 to 1974, St. Augustine Catholic School in Richmond from 1985 until 1999 and in the Mesick School System from 2000 until 2006. She owned and operated the "Bright Beginnings" Nursery School in Richmond from 1980 until 1985. She was a former member of St. Augustine Church in Richmond and was active in the church choir. She and her husband, Larry moved to their retirement home in Cadillac in 1999 and became members of St. Anne Catholic church where they also were choir members. She was a member of the Cadillac Welcome Club and the Association of Women's Student Judicial Board. She was an avid reader and flower gardener and held the unofficial title of "Power Shopper". She is survived by her husband, Lawrence, daughters and sons-in-law, Gretchen and Marc Moote and their children, Grace and Gabriel of South Lyon and Heidi and Erik Velicevic and their son Gavin of Rochester Hills and her sister, Barbara Gauthier and nephew Mark and Michelle Gauthier all of Spring Lake. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Edwin and Pauline Schultz, brother-in-law Donald Gauthier and nephew David Gauthier. A funeral service will be on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 11:00am in St. Augustine Church. Monsignor George Browne will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Richmond. Visiting will be Thursday from 4 to 8pm, Friday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Saturday from 10:30 t0 11:00am in the church. There will be a rosary recited on Friday at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested for the R.C.E.F. (Richmond Catholic Education Foundation for St. Augustine School) or Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School.
