RUTH ELLEN GAHAN , 92 of Richmond died Friday, June 12, 2009 in Church of Christ Care Center, Clinton Twp. Mrs. Gahan was born August 30, 1916 in Urbania, Illinois to the late Tobias and Florence (Songer) Cummins. She married Marion Eugene Gahan in Illinois on August 11, 1935. Mr. Gahan died in 1971. Mrs. Gahan was a homemaker who enjoyed playing the piano and organ, doing needle work, reading and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children Joe and Judith Gahan of McHenry, Illinois, Jeff and Susan Gahan of Peoria, Arizona, and Kathleen Hessell of Chesterfield Township, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her brother Levin Cummins. A funeral service will be Monday, June 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery, Richmond.
