Roberta E. Cocquyt

ROBERTA ERNESTINE COCQUYT age 71 of New Haven, formerly of Roseville died Sunday, November 7, 2010 in St. John River District Hospital in East China, MI. after and extended illness. Mrs. Cocquyt was born February 10, 1939 in Detroit to the late Phillip and Mary (Munoz) Love. She married Philip Cocquyt in Detroit on April 19, 1959. Roberta graduated from Dominican High School in Harper Woods in 1957 and retired in 2008 after ten years service as an administrator for the State of Michigan in the Children's Protective Service Department in Macomb County. She enjoyed selling Mary Kay products and jewelry and hitting the slot machines with her brother, Phil Love. She is survived by her husband, Philip, daughters, Kim (Rick) Rupinski of Clinton Twp., Laurie (Richard) Morrison of St. Clair Shores and Connie Cocquyt of Charlotte, MI., siblings, Patricia (Paul) Jankowski of AZ., Lee (Len) Chivers of Clinton Twp., Phil (Helen) Love of AZ., Owen LoveofA. and Gloria Reed of Richmond and five grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 10:00am in St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church in New Haven. Reverend Christopher Talbot, pastor will officiate. Visiting will be Wednesday from 5 to 8pm, Thursday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Friday from 9:30 to 10:00am in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
