Robert D. Zryd

ROBERT DEAN ZRYD JR. age 56 of Port Huron died Thursday, July 5, 2012 in St. John's Hospital in Detroit after a brief illness. Mr. Zryd was born February 6, 1956 in Mount Clemens to the late Robert and Margaret (Thelen) Zryd. Rob graduated from Richmond High School in 1974 and worked in maintenance at Port Huron Hospital for the past sixteen years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed kayaking. He is survived by his sisters; Lois and Edgar Stern of Hernando, FL., Sherry Zryd of Monterey, CA. and Peggy and Everette Yaek of Richmond, special friends; Ron and Julie Newell of Marine City and several nieces and nephew and great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 1:00 pm in Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Marysville. Reverend John Hitzeroth, pastor will officiate. Visiting will be on Saturday from 4:30 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Sunday from 12 noon to 1:00 pm in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family or the Lois Wagner Memorial Library.
