Robert E. Herman

ROBERT ERNEST HERMAN age 89 of Allenton died Saturday, December 25, 2010 in Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Herman was born November 7, 1921 in Gotebo, OK. to the late John and Dorthea (Fink) Herman. He married Vonda Shearm in Richmond on April 17, 1948. Mrs. Herman died June 5, 2005. Bob was a self employed farmer and a longtime member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richmond. He was an active member in church and belonged to the Michigan Milk Producers Association. He enjoyed bowling. He is survived by his children, Robert (Judy) of Port Orchard, WA., James of Allenton, Joan Herman of Allenton and Nancy (Michael) Couto of Allenton, siblings, Edna Hardy of St. Clair Shores, Lillie Simmons of St. Clair, Christine Trombley of Clay Twp, Betty Walters of Yale, Richard (Donna) Herman of Lapeer, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his siblings, Emily Barks, Helen Geis, Frieda Liebetraeu, Emma Topchov, Louise Verbeke, Esther Clark, Katie Winterholler and Albert Herman. A funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 10:30 am in St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Reverends Gerhardt Doroh and Randy Lett will officiate. Burial will be in the East Berlin Cemetery. Visiting will be on Tuesday, December 28th in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Wednesday from 10 to 10:30 in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
