Robert Charles DePoorter, 90, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at McLaren Macomb Hospital. Robert was born June 3, 1929 to the late Morris and Alice DePoorter. Beloved husband of Rosalie DePoorter; cherished father of Deborah DePoorter-Berry and Karen (Leon) DePoorter-Locklear; special grandfather of Shannon, Crystal and Mitchel.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved nature, being outdoors and gardening. Robert enjoyed working with his hands, building bird houses, woodworking, puzzles and watching DIY shows.
Funeral Service will be 7:00 p.m. with a visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Service Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062.
