Robert S. Badaczewski, “Bob” 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on January 9, 2023. He fought a short, but tough battle with cancer. He was born on April 8, 1952, to the late Walter and Geraldine Badaczewski. On August 6, 1971, Bob married the love of his life, Gail Barnfield, in Richmond, Michigan. They proudly celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary this past summer. Bob enjoyed spending time outside, whether it be golfing, fishing, gardening, sitting on his deck feeding the birds, squirrels, frogs, and other neighborhood critters, or just enjoying the view of his beautiful water garden. He was also known to be an avid sports fan; not just professional sports, but those of his grandchildren. He was always supporting them at every game, rain or shine. He was their number one fan. Above all, Bob was a family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Gail. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three devoted daughters, Jill and Jon Gabridge; Jaime and Danny Cobbs; and Jenni and Loren Klug. He was also the very proud Grandad of seven beautiful grandchildren, Makenzie (Alex) Kroll, Logan Peyerk, Jenna Cobbs, Micah Gabridge, Macen Gabridge, Greyson Klug, and Kinsley Klug. Bob leaves behind five siblings and an amazing support system of friends.  His brother, John (Theresa) Badaczewski, his sister-in-law, Gretta (Jim) Smith, and his friends, Dan and Linda Rowe will continue to provide love, support, and peace for the family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Geraldine Badaczewski and one brother.

The family would like to remind all to think of Bob when you see a flower, a bird, a squirrel, and most importantly, a frog.  In the words of his youngest granddaughter, “He was the most, nicest man.” ~ Kinsley Klug.

A Celebration of Life is planned for June 17, 2023. More information will follow at a later time.
