Richard George Kenney
April 4, 1948 — February 1, 2020
Richard George Kenney, 71, of Lenox, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at McLaren Macomb Hospital. Rich was born April 4, 1948 to the late Jack and Lillian Kenney. Rich is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Kaltz-Kenney, children, Dawn, Michael and Mark Kaltz, grandchildren, Owen, Addysen and Collin, brothers, Robert (Dawn) and Gary (Norene) Kenney, and sister, Sharon (Michael) Jarvis.
Rich graduated from Utica High School in 1966. He entered the United States Army after high school and was deployed to Vietnam for two years where he served as a construction engineer. Rich married Pattie on October 8, 1993. He worked as an equipment operator for many years then became a grounds keeper for several golf courses. Rich enjoyed sports, especially the old Detroit Tigers and Lions. He was an avid softball player, golfer and MSU fan. In later years Rich enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going to their sporting events and taking Addysen to horseback riding lessons.
Rich made many friends throughout his life and will be sorely missed by family and friends.
Funeral Service will be 6:00 p.m. with a visitation from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062.
