Peter Beres

PETER JOHN BERES 78 of Lenox Township died Monday, December 3, 2007 in Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Beres was born March 19, 1929 in Detroit to the late Peter and Elizabeth (Haas) Beres. He retired as an accountant in 1978 from Kelsey-Hayes in Romulus, Michigan. Pete was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond, Richmond Antique Engine and Tractor Association and the St. Clair County farm museum. He was a mentor for Junior Achievements and enjoyed rebuilding and repairing antique tractors and farm equipment. He was an avid deer hunter. Mr. Beres is survived by his siblings, John of Roseville, Edward (Violet) of Taylor, Robert (Joan) of Presque Isle, Paul of Lenox, Eugene of Rochester, Margaret Renehan of Brighton and Diane (Paul) Miley of East Pointe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters-in-law, Kathy and Elaine Beres and brother-in-law John Renehan. A funeral Mass will be on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 10:30am in St. Augustine Church. Reverend Joseph Plawecki will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Visiting will be Wednesday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Thursday from 10 to 10:30am in the church. A scripture service will be on Wednesday at 7:00pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Karmanos Cancer Center or the American Diabetes Association.
