Pauline Dorothy Papson, 83, of Chesterfield Twp., passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023. Pauline was born March 2, 1939 to the late Paul and Dorothy Labens. She was the beloved wife of Harold Papson and proud mother of Ann (Keith) Perry, John (Suzanne) Papson, Karen (Juan) Balboa, Michael (Erin) Papson, Kenneth Papson, Michele (Steve) Bandoo, Sarah Papson and Alexander (Melissa) Papson. She was the adoring grandmother of 22 and great grandmother of six. Pauline is survived by her sister, Anne Miller. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Denise Heffner, Phil Labens and Celeste Mann.
Pauline married Harold, the love of her life, on September 8, 1962. They were married for 60 years, and made a lifetime of memories in the places they lived – Chicago, Galveston, Detroit, and the Farm – and traveled. Pauline was a nurse before becoming a full-time homemaker. Her greatest pride in her life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader, and once her children were grown she enjoyed doing word puzzles, coloring, painting ceramics, watching ice skating, old movies and Hallmark, and building puzzles. She volunteered at St. Augustine Catholic School, where she loved working with the school children.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass Friday, January 27, 2023 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St, Richmond, MI 48062.
