Patricia Louise Podolan

Patricia Louise Podolan, 74, of Columbus Twp., passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday, October 29, 2022. Patricia was born January 7, 1948 to the late Adelbert and Leona Hummel. Patricia is survived by her husband, Edward Podolan, daughter, Tina (Bill) Kacanowski, step-son Jim (Heather) Podolan, daughter-in-law, Beth Podolan, grandchildren, Fred, Paul, Hunter, Jared, Tessa, Shayla, Riley and Joey, sister, Laura Hummel, brother, Bill Hummel, niece, Dana Hummel, and three cousins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Linda Hummel, a baby sister, and step-son, Eric Podolan. Patricia retired from Central Transport and subsidiaries after 35 years.  She loved keeping up with family and friends, and her former truck drivers and terminal managers.  She was a former Sunday School teacher at St. Peter and St. John Lutheran Churches.  She was also involved in 4H and was very proud of being the first female cattle judge in Macomb County at the age of 16.

Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service Thursday, November 3, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 62657 North Ave, Ray, MI 48096.
