PASTOR JOHN G. EGGLI 68 of Lenox Township died Friday, September 7, 2007 in St. John Hospital in Detroit after an extended illness. He was born July 1, 1939 in Genoa, Nebraska to the late Edward and Dorothy (Iames) Eggli. He married Burnadine Krause in Nebraska on May 12, 1961. He graduated from Genoa High School in 1956 and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After serving in the military he enrolled and graduated from Engineering Institute of Technology in 1963. For the past twenty-six years he has devoted his life to God and his church, currently serving as pastor of the Grace Christian Church in Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Burnadine, children, Scott and Lisa Eggli of Riley Township, Russell and Melissa Eggli of Lenox Township, Kevin and Tamara Eggli of Ray Township, Debra and Gary Campbell of Lenox Township and Jennifer and R.J. Hathon of Richmond, his sister, Diana Eggli of Columbus, Nebraska and grandchildren, Jesse, Chris and Nicholas Campbell, Jordan, Aaron, Stephanie, David, Benjamin and Isabella Eggli and Drake, Maxwell and Cooper Hathon. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rachael Eggli in 1999. A funeral service will be on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 11:00am in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Pastor Joe Glover will officiate. Burial will be in Clinton Grove Cemetery in Mount Clemens. Visiting will be on Thursday from 3 to 8:00pm and Friday from 10 to 11:00am.
