Ollie M. Morgan, age 100, of New Baltimore, formerly of Memphis, died Saturday, March 31, 2012. She was born April 1, 1911, in Double Springs, Tennessee, the youngest of nine children, to the late Wade and Della Goolsby. Ollie retired from Uniroyal after 30 years of service. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo and fishing. She is survived by her children, Gary ( Doris) Lynch of Memphis and Sharon (Paul) Bateman of Las Vegas, Nevada; six grandchildren, Robert (Lee) Cook, Deborah L. Cook, David (Tina) Bateman, Andrew (Angela) Bateman, Carolyn Bateman and Amy (Stephen) Shepherd; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Megan Cook, Nash and Harper Shepherd and Kayleigh Bateman and nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family would like to give a special thank-you to a very special person, Gladys Johnson for all her help. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Lynch and George Morgan and siblings, Alvin and Jess Goolsby, Clara Johnson, Arfie Alexander, Effie Holloway, Ida Granger and Vola McKee. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. The Reverend Al Titus will officiate. Burial will be in Memphis Cemetery, Memphis. Visitation will be held Thursday from 3-8 p.m. and Friday from 10-11a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
