Olga Boss

Olga W. Boss 92 of Lenox Twp. died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 11, 2006 in St. Johns River District Hospital, East China. She was born in Hagen, Germany on September 21, 1914 to the late John and Lydia (Schaffer) Redmann. She married Stephen Boss in Detroit on October 17, 1933. Mr. Boss passed away May 23, 1979. Olga graduated in 1933 from North Eastern High School in Detroit and was a homemaker who loved to cook, bake, swim and play pinochle. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond, the Altar Sodality, Farm Bureau, and charter member of the Daughters of Isabella at St. Augustine church.. She is survived by her daughters Shirley Boss of Lenox and Elaine Abraham of Fair Haven, daughter-in-law Shirley Boss of Lenox, eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Stephen Boss on March 27, 2006 and siblings Martha Smith, Lydia Kimbell, and Nicholas Redmann. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 16, 2006 at 10:30 am in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond. Burial will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Richmond. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 8 pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Monday from 10 to 10:30 in the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the Richmond Catholic Education Foundation for St. Augustine School.
