Mary Lou Matusko

Mary Louise Matusko, 83, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 at The Orchards of Armada. Mary Lou was born May 1, 1940 to the late Russell and Stella Santoro. Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Raymond Matusko, children Raymond (Donna) Matusko and Maria Mayer, grandchildren, Dustin (Nikki) Matusko, Vicki (Collin) Winfrey, Kevin (Susan) Brown, Sean Matusko, Rachel (Chris) Donoher and Jennifer Lico, as well as 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Louise (Ron) Hoskey, Linda (Jim) Janssens, and Carmela (Steve) Finn; cousin Barbara Smith; son-in-law Keith Brown; and daughter-in-law Shirley (Jeff) Frederick. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Brown and sister Joanne Railey. A talented crafter, Mary Lou enjoyed quilting, sewing, painting, and making candles and baskets. She was a vivid storyteller who was known for her cooking and baking – especially her cannoli recipe which has been handed down through six generations.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Holy Family Parish, 79780 Main St, Memphis, MI 48041.
