Mary G. Grace

MARY GENEVIEVE GRACE age 95 of Memphis died Sunday, September 14, 2014 in Medilodge of Richmond after an extended illness. Mrs. Grace was born October 27, 1918 in Schenectady, NY to the late Frank and Jenny (Ditrych) Bobowski. She married Alphonse Grace in Schenectady, NY on November 20, 1941. Mr. Grace died June 27, 1971. Mrs. Grace was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond and a former member of the American Legion Post in Memphis. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing pool, cards, cooking and gardening but mostly spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children; William and Ruth Grace of Rochester, NY, Zenon and Kitty Grace of Richmond, Ronald and Phyllis Grace of Armada, Charles and Nancy Grace of Rochester and Kathleen Esper of Memphis, sisters; Sophie Jankiewicz, Florence Macejka and Helen Cameron, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her sister; Irene Zebrowski, grandson; Douglas Grace and son-in-law, Robert shirkey. A funeral Mass will be on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 10:00am in Holy Family Parish in Memphis. Reverend Joseph Horn, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Richmond. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Thursday from 9:30 to 10am in the church. A scripture rosary will be Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested for the Sacred Heart Seminary, 271 Chicago Blvd., Detroit, MI. 48206.
