Mary Anne Gaffke

MARY ANNE GAFFKE age 78 of New Haven died unexpectedly Sunday, April 4, 2010 in Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Gaffke was born September 29, 1931 in Clinchco, VA. to the late Carl and Ida (Hughes) Shell. Mary Anne worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at the Colonial Hotel in Mount Clemens. She is survived by her daughters, Denola Noteboom of Richmond, Diane and Robert Hoffman of Macomb Township and Deborah Gaffke of Battle Creek, brothers, Carl Shell of Kansas and Bobby Shell of Florida, grandchildren, Ronald (Marcie) Noteboom, Brian (Stacie Schweiger) Noteboom, Rhonda (Derek) Barker and Robert (Renae) Hoffman and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jacob, Cody and Dyllon Barker and Kaylee, Renee and Addison Noteboom. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Rosetta Remmert, Betty Smith and Daisy Osborne and son-in-law, Ronald Noteboom. A funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 7:00 pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Reverend Henry Brinker, guest pastor of the First Congregational, United Church of Christ in New Baltimore will officiate. Visiting will be Wednesday from 4 to 7pm. A private burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
