MARY H. AYERS 93 of Casco Twp. formerly of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Sebring, Florida died Saturday, March 20, 2010 in St. John River District Hospital, East China. Mrs. Ayers was born July 15, 1916 to the late Randolph and Emma (Wood) Bly in Cleveland, Ohio. She married Grant Hope in Cleveland in 1937. Mr. Hope died in 1965. She then married Clifford Ayers in Chagrin Falls in 1974. Mr. Ayers died in 1995. Mary graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Ohio with a degree in mathematics. She worked as a banker until she retired in 1977. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Sebring Florida where she was active in the choir. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter Phyllis and James Harm of Casco, step-son Randolph Ayers of Cleveland, Ohio, granddaughter Jennifer and Matthew Duffield of Romeo and two great-grandchildren Kamryn and Andrew Duffield. She was preceded in death by her brother John Bly and sister Jeanne Bly. Visitation will be Friday, March 26 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond.
