Martin Jagoda Jr.

MARTIN JAGODA JR. age 83 a lifelong area resident died Friday, July 16, 2010 in Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Mr. Jagoda was born October 11, 1926 in Casco Township, MI. to the late Martin and Mary (Ciszek) Jagoda. He married Anna Tousciuk in Richmond on November 6, 1948. Mrs. Jagoda died October 11, 2007. Martin was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a truck driver for Spector Freight Systems in Detroit in 1973 after more than thirty years. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond and enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching the Detroit Tigers, going to the casino and playing euchre. He is survived by his children, Martin (Annette) of Chesterfield, John (Lori) of Lenox and Kathleen (Robert) Emch of Polk City, Fl., siblings, Harry of Ray Twp, Frank (Nonnie) of Port Hope, Margaret Sitek of Ray Twp., Thomas (Mary Ann) of Freeport, IL. and Eugene (Betty) of Richmond, nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Cramer and Joann Udocon. A funeral will be on Tuesday at 10:00am in St. Augustine Church. Reverend Joseph Plawecki, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Visiting will be on Sunday from 5 to 8pm, Monday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:00am in the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Augustine Church Building Fund.
