Marian Shuboy

MARIAN FRANCES SHUBOY 83 of Casco Township died Wednesday, October 11, 2006 in Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Shuboy was born September 19, 1923 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Anna (Fraley) Dichtel. She married Eugene Michael Shuboy in Detroit on August 28, 1948. Mr. Shuboy died August 19, 1978. Marian graduated in 1942 from Denby High School in Detroit. After the death of her husband Marian worked as a packager for the American Seed Company in New Haven until 1989. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She was an avid reader and liked going to the casino. She is survived by her children, Eugene and Nancy of New Baltimore, John and Sandra of Casco, Thomas and Charlene of Columbus, Fred and Bridgette of Casco, Susan and Robert Thomas of Richmond, Donna Shuboy of Casco, son-in-law, Charles Latour of Casco Township, sisters, Emerita Carvell of Clinton Township, Anna May Brocker of Roseville, sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her daughters, Anna Rita Shuboy in 1956 and Linda Latour in 2004, grandchildren, Christine and Charles Latour and Natalie Shuboy and siblings, Neil, Clarence, Joseph, Leonard, Andrew, Dorothy and Melanie Dichtel, Bernadine Vermeylen and Irene Lonero. A funeral Mass will be on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 10:30am in St. Augustine Church. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Visiting will be on Thursday from 7 to 9pm, Friday from 3 to 9pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Saturday from 10 to 10:30 in the church. A Scripture service will be on Friday at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Clair County Council on Aging.
