MARGARET MARY HARMS age 89 a lifelong resident of Casco Township died Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Villages Assisted Living in Armada. Mrs. Harms was born July 12, 1925 in St. Clair Shores, MI to the late John and Emily (VanAssche) Allemon. She married Clarence Harms in St. Peter Lutheran Church in Macomb Township on January 31, 1948. Mr. Harms died November 15, 2000. Margaret and her husband were owners of the Lenox Cement Products where she worked as the bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richmond and the former Richmond Lioness Club. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed and was recognized as a great pie maker. She is survived by her children; Alvin and Lori Harms of Casco and Geraldine Miele of Shelby Township, grandchildren; Gerald Harms, Kim (Jerry) Kutchey, Michael (Megan) Miele, Jodi (Doug) Kenyon, Lana (Ron) Smith, Erin (Jerry) Brown, Kara Harms and Craig Harms, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson and siblings; Charles Allemon, Mary Goike, Cely (Herb) Marcath, Dolly Allemon , David (Viola) Allemon, John (Leona) Allemon, Henry (Andrea) Allemon, GraceAnn (Walter) Dacon and Jean (August) Miele, sisters-in-law; Marian Allemon and Viola Kogelman. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Harms on August 1, 1997, son-on-law, Michael Miele Sr. on August 23, 2013 and siblings; Rosie DeBuck, Anna Marks and Agnes, August and Joseph Allemon. A funeral service will be on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:30am in St. Peter Lutheran Church. Reverend Mark Haller, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 29th from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and from 11:00 to 11:30am in the church.
