M. KATHLEEN HEBEL 76, a resident of Richmond died Sunday, October 1, 2006 in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Clinton Township after and extended illness. Mrs. Hebel was born October 26, 1929 in Detroit to the late Roy and Marie Evelyn (Fitzgerald) McKiernan. She married Clarence "Chick" Hebel in Richmond on August 26, 1950. Katie graduated in 1947 from St. David's High School in Detroit. Over the years she worked as a payroll clerk for Knight Morley, press operator for Industrial Printing and as a secretary for the Voice Newspaper. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond and served with the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her husband, Clarence, children, Timothy and Tonya Hebel of Phoenix, AZ., Daniel and Sherry Hebel of Santa Rosa, CA., John and Kimberly Hebel of Richmond, Scott Hebel of Westland and Lynette Rupersburg of Clinton Township, her brother, Thomas and Diane McKiernan of Richmond, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 10:30 in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond. Reverend Joseph Plawecki will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 3 to 8pm. in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and 10 to 10:30 Wednesday in the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Lung Association.
