Lottie "Charlotte" Catherine Engardio

LOTTIE "CHARLOTTE" CATHERINE ENGARDIO age 86 of Richmond died peacefully Wednesday, August 4, 2010 with her family by her side after a courageous battle with liver cancer. She was born July 21, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Dimitre and Catherine (Sudak) Stadnik. She married Peter Engardio in Hamtramck on April 16, 1955. She was an active member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond and served with the Altar Sodality, Blue Army Rosary Group and St. Augustine Rosary Makers Group. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, canning, knitting and traveling. She is survived by her husband, Peter, children, Janice (John) Boyd of Orchard Lake, Pete (Rose) Engardio of Brooklyn, NY, Jim (Diane) Engardio of Clinton, Twp., Perry (Rozanne Stevens) Engardio of Eastpointe, Theresa (Richard) Orzel of Richmond, Gerald (Leticia) Engardio of Naperville, IL. and Mary Ann (Darren) Shaffer of Clyde Twp., step-son, William Lawrence (Ann) Engardio of Raven, VA. and grandchildren Charlotte and Jim Orzel, Allison and Michelle Boyd, Matthew and MaryRose Engardio, Eric, Alexis and Marissa Engardio, Donald, Dan, Angela and Christopher Shaffer and Lucia Engardio. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Stadnik. Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 11:00am in St. Augustine Church. Father Dino Vanin, PIME priest will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Richmond. Visiting will be Friday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and 10:30 to 11:00am Saturday in the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Augustine Rosary Makers.
