Lee J. Romancheck

LEE JOHN ROMANCHECK age 85 of Lakeport, Mi, formerly of Casco Township died Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Medilodge of Richmond after an extended illness. Mr. Romancheck was born July 21, 1928 in Rices Landing, PA to the late Steven and Ella (Veall) Romancheck. He married Marian Wheeker in Dearborn, MI on October 7, 1950. Mrs. Romancheck died July 7, 2003. Lee was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a furnace operator for Bower Roller Bearing for twenty-three years and as a mechanic for the City of Richmond DPW for several years. He was a member of the New Baltimore VFW Post and the Richmond Knights of Columbus Council 2667. He is survived by his children; Michael (Mary Kay) Romancheck of Casco, David Romancheck of Harrison Township and Mary Barrett of Washington State,five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his siblings; Paul, Joseph and Pauline Romancheck. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 10:00a.m. in St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond. Reverend Philip Ching, associate pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Visiting will be on Monday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:00am in the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
