Laurence A. Kaiser

LAURENCE ALFRED KAISER age 78 of Richmond died Friday, December 12, 2014 after an extended illness. Mr. Kaiser was born May 6, 1936 in Detroit to the late Laurence and Dorothy (Blackman) Kaiser. He married Beverly Rolfe in Roseville, MI on August 4, 1962. Larry earned his Bachelor's Degree in education from Western Michigan University and taught art and social studies at Armada High School. He enjoyed golf and belonged to the men's league at Cedar Glen Gold course in New Baltimore. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, children; Alan (Wen-I) Kaiser of Aurora, CO, and Marie (Ray) Dart of East China, siblings; Janet (Ben) Castaneda of San Carlos, CA. and Maria Marchant of Altedena, CA, grandchildren; Steven and Chris Dart and Laura and Andrea Kaiser and nieces and nephews; Douglas and Ambrose Marchant and Lynn Herrera. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ambrose Marchant. A funeral service will be on Saturday, December 20th at 10:00am in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Reverend Suzy Hutchinson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Richmond will officiate. Visiting will be on Friday, December 19th from 3 to 8:00pm and Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00am. Memorial contributions are suggested for the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
