KENNETH "BUTCH" GREENIA age 86 of St. Clair, formerly of Marysville and Richmond died Monday, May 16, 2011 in Port Huron Mercy Hospital. Mr. Greenia was born November 14, 1924 in Detroit to the late Clarence and Irene (DeRussel) Greenia. He married Glenna Bailey in Detroit on May 26, 1951. Mrs. Greenia died June 7, 1984. Butch graduated from St. Augustine High School in 1942 and was co-owner of the Greenia Brothers John Deere Implement dealership in Capac. He retired on January 1, 1984. He was a former member of the Richmond Knights of Columbus, Richmond Little League Association and enjoyed golfing, fishing, puzzles, reading, riding his bike and doing crossword puzzles. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Cindy Greenia, grandchildren, Kenneth and Jessica Greenia all of Richmond, sisters, Shirley (Walt) Belczak) of Kansas and Jean (Mike) Jaroszynski of Algonac and sisters-in-law, Cecelia Greenia of Capac and Amy Greenia of St. Clair. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert in 1992, Roy in 1991 and Ruth O'Donnell in 2006. A funeral Mass will be on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 10:30am in St Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond. Reverend Joseph Plawecki, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Visiting will be Wednesday from 5 to 8pm, Thursday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
