JOYCE ANN TRUDGEON age 81, a lifelong resident of Richmond died Sunday, June 8, 2014 in Leisure Manor for Seniors in Richmond after an extended illness. Ms. Trudgeon was born October 29, 1932 in Richmond to the late Wilfred and Lorena (Myers) Trudgeon. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1950 and the Harper School of Nursing. Joyce served as a nurse with the United States Navy from 1957 to 1977 earning the National Defense Medal, and then at Martha T. Berry Hospital in Mount Clemens. After obtaining her Real Estate License, Joyce worked at Caldwell Banker Walters in Richmond. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Richmond, held several offices of the Harper Nurses Alumni, Richmond Historical Society, Richmond Community Theater and several card clubs. She enjoyed knitting and reading. Joyce is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Alice and Alford Busch of Richmond, nephew, Charles Busch of Richmond, niece, Barbara and Charles Holzworth of Caro, great-niece and nephews; Jennifer Holzworth, Steven (Chelsea) Holzworth and David Busch and several special cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 10:00am in First United Church of Christ. Visiting will be from 9 to 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested for the Disabled American Veterans, any children's charity or the church.
