Josephine Ann Harris

Josephine Ann Harris, 86, of Richmond, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Advantage Living Center, Armada, MI at her “home” in Meadow Ridge. Josephine was born August 21, 1935 to the late Francis and Mary Jokubatis. Loving wife of the late Richard Lee Harris; cherished mother of Marie (Eric) Ewert and Tim (Annie) Harris; grandmother of Nicole Ewert, Jordan and Hope Harris. Josephine was a long time teacher at St. Augustine School before she retired from teaching and continued to work as an employee of the State of Michigan. She enjoyed spending the winters in Arizona with Richard, watching the Detroit Tigers and loved spending time with her family. She always enjoyed her Moscato wine and her Better Maid potato chips. She enjoyed life so much. There is another important family of Josephine’s that we would like to thank. All the amazing, compassionate and dedicated directors, nurses & staff at Meadow Ridge (Advantage Living in Armada) for their love, support and care for Josephine (Jo Jo as they called her).  She was able to live an independent life filled with joy and friendship because of these amazing people. There is no gift better than that.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass Friday, September 24, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St, Richmond, MI 48062.
