Joseph Manchik

JOSEPH MANCHIK age 90 a lifelong resident of Columbus and Lenox Townships died Thursday, October 28, 2010 in Mount Clemens Regional Hospital after and extended illness. Mr. Manchik was born April 19, 1920 in Lenox Township to the late James and Frances (Koleckar) Manchik. He married Lillian Duda in Richmond on June 30, 1951. Mr. Manchik retired as a tool and die maker from Wolverine Carbide in Troy after many years service. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond and enjoyed gardening and working on cars. He is survived by his wife, Lillian, children, Joseph Manchik of Reynoldsburg, OH, Sherri LaFountain of Debuque, IA., Tamie (Duane) Chalice of Jackson, MI. and Lori Ann Millenbach of Port Huron, MI., eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings, infant Joseph, Frank, Robert, Louis, Amelia Kerton, Agnes Jefferies, Frances Breiholz and Rose Gristchuk. A funeral service will be on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 1:30pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Visiting will be from 11 to 1:30. Monsignor George Browne will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
