Joseph S. Lafata, 70, of St. Clair Shores passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017. Joe was born in Detroit to the late Russell and Angeline (Copozzo) Lafata on September 20, 1947. Beloved husband of Mary Edna (Glover) Lafata; Caring father of Eric (Sarah) Lafata; special grandfather of Lucas and Adrianna Lafata. Also, survived by his brother Tony (Peggy) Lafata, In-Laws Paul (Lucy) Glover, David (Sandra) Glover and Steve (Joyce) Glover, Nieces and nephews Lisa (Brian) Patalon, April (Lyonel) Martin, Greg Glover, Amy Glover, Russell Glover and Caroline Glover. Joe enjoyed woodworking, classic cars and organizing car shows.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062.
