John Frank Sonntag

John Frank Sonntag, 65, of Chesterfield Twp., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Beloved father of Dawn (David) Revitzer and Michael (Laura) Sonntag; Cherished grandfather of Jonathan, Micah, Amelia, Wyatt, Delilah and Wesley. Also, survived by his sisters Geraldine, Janice and Karen. Preceded in death by his siblings Esther, Eldine, Roy, Ray, Ike, Gloria, Glenn, Marlene and Larry. John was a proud Marine Corps veteran that served in Vietnam. He was member of the Richmond V.F.W. Post #6802 and former Honor Guard Captain. John enjoyed spicy foods, watching sci-fi and western movies and loved everything about the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, golf and long drives on dirt roads. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time service Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, 48062. Memorial donations may be made to the Richmond V.F.W. Post #6802 Honor Guard, 34339 32 Mile Rd, Richmond, MI 48062.
