John J. Ringel

JOHN JOSEPH RINGEL 74, a thirty year resident of Casco Township died Thursday, September 1, 2011 in his home after an extended illness. Mr. Ringel was born March 13, 1937 in Detroit to the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Theisen) Ringel. He married Judith A. Townsend fifty years ago in Detroit on July 29, 1961. John graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1954 and retired from B.A.S.A. Paint Corporation in Wyandotte as a paint mixer. He was a former member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richmond and enjoyed playing Pinochle and Euchre. He was an avid car enthusiast. John is survived by his wife, Judy, son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Deborah Ringel of Casco, granddaughters, Susan and Denise Ringel and his sister and brother-in-law, Delia and Eugene Dalesandro of Algonac. He was preceded in death by his son, David Ringel on August 25, 1999. A committal service will be on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 2:00pm in the Richards Cemetery in Richmond Township. Reverend Randy Lett, pastor of St. Peter Lutheran Church will officiate.
