JOHN PAPUGA 91 of Macomb Township, formerly of Richmond died Saturday, November 11, 2006 in The Villages of East Harbor in Chesterfield Township after an extended illness. Mr. Papuga was born June 16, 1915 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to the late Michael and Sophie (Zamorsky) Papuga. He married Ann Papciak in Detroit on September 7, 1936. Mrs. Papuga died May 18, 1991. John was a tool and die maker and former owner of M.P. Tool in Richmond. He was a member of the Macomb Senior Club and enjoyed woodworking, walking, yard work, reading, making jewelry and oil painting. He is survived by his children, Jerry (Pattie) Papuga of Richmond, Nancy (Bob) Zorn of Downey, CA., a brother, Thaddeus Papuga of Troy and grandchildren, John, Jeff and Debbie Papuga. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his siblings, Walter and Frank Papuga and Elsie Spencer. A Memorial Mass will be on Thursday, November 16th at 10:30 am in St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond. Reverend Erwin Bauer, of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Columbus Twp. will officiate. His cremated remains will be buried in St. Michael Cemetery in Richmond. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Augustine Capital Campaign or the Villages of East Harbor.
