John "Jack" Hanna

JOHN "JACK" HANNA age 85 of Detroit died Sunday, November 14, 2010 in Medilodge of Richmond after an extended illness. Mr. Hanna was born March 22, 1925 in Detroit to the late John and Louise (Dean) Hanna. He married Dolores Czaja at St. Scholastica Church in Detroit on February 27, 1960. Mrs. Hanna died May 31, 2001. Jack graduated from Detroit Cooley High School on June 25, 1943 and worked as a camera salesman at Detroit Camera for many years. He retired from Maloof's Fine Jewelry in St. Clair Shores. He enjoyed photography, stamp collecting, fishing, hunting and watching baseball. He is survived by his children, Mary Hanna of Laingsburg, Janine (Vince) Pierik of Armada, Thomas Hanna of Roseville and Diane Hanna of Roseville and grandchildren, Vinnie and Matt Pierik. A funeral service will be Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 10:30am in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Mr. Mel Spens, bible class leader at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Armada will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visiting will be Tuesday from 3 to 8pm and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen or the Father Solanus Guild.
