John Baltierra

JOHN BALTIERRA age 87, a lifelong resident of New Haven died Monday, June 14, 2010 in Henry Ford Macomb Hospital after a very brief illness. Mr. Baltierra was born July 8, 1922 in New Haven to the late Balasar and Augustina (Fermandro) Baltierra. He retired from Theut Products in Chesterfield and served in the United States Army during World War II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and building and racing cars. He is survived by his sister, Mary Brauer of Chesterfield and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, John, Joseph and William Baltierra and Lucy Gasiorkiewcz. A funeral service will be Friday, June 18th at 10:00am in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Reverend Marion Pohly of the First United Methodist Church in Macomb Township will officiate. Burial will be in the Centennial Cemetery in New Haven under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans. Visiting will be Thursday from 3 to 8pm and Friday from 9 to 10am.
