He worked at Allemon Septic Tank from 1970-2010 when he retired. Joe loved spending time with family and going for rides on Sunday afternoon and then stopping to visit his children. He enjoyed going to different bars and talking and telling stories. He played pool at the Teddy Bear Bar for years. He never missed a race at Mt. Clemens race track supporting his brother-in-law, Kirk Juip, in the pit area when Kirk raced in the figure 8 races. He always enjoyed the demolition derby at the Armada Fair and loved the chicken dinner on Sunday then going to the beer tent afterwards. He was always on Joe time which means he was late for everything. When he was in Medilodge he looked forward to visits from his niece Sue McVay because she would always bring him Cheetos.
