Jerome M. Lerg

JEROME M. LERG age 72 of Casco Township died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Mr. Lerg was born February 21, 1937 in Lake City, Michigan to the late Ellis and Wilda (Morrow) Lerg. He married Nikki Beck in Milwaukee, WI. on October 1, 1960. Jerry graduated from Lake City High School in 1955 and earned his Bachelors Degree from Michigan Tech in 1960. He retired as a Civil Engineer from the John Carlo Corporation in 2008. He enjoyed wood working and building wood boats. He loved his log cabin he built in Lake City and enjoyed hunting and sailing. He is survived by his wife, Nikki, daughter, Elizabeth Lerg of Port Huron, sonand daughter-in-law, John and Cory Lerg of St. Louis, MI., sister, Judy Griffore of Chattham, Ont., grandchildren, Crystal, Jacob and Hayley Lerg and great-granddaughter, Charissa Gamble. Cremation arrangements were handled by the Rewalt Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Richmond. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
