James M. Montgomery

JAMES MICHAEL MONTGOMERY age 69 a lifelong resident of Richmond died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 28, 2015 in McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens, Michigan. Mr. Montgomery was born December 18, 1945 in Mount Clemens to the late Francis and Margaret (Russ) Montgomery. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1964 and was a veteran of the United States Army. Jim retired as a Supply Quality engineer from General Motors after thirty-seven years service. He was a member of the Richmond Sportsman Club and enjoyed golfing, hunting and especially going to the cabin in the U.P. Jim is survived by his daughters; Shannon Boyd (Tim Lizyness) of Richmond, Michelle and Kaitlyn Montgomery of Lenox, grandchildren: Christopher Boyd and Shane Heyd, siblings; Thomas (Laura) Montgomery, Susan (Dean) Bruyneel and Vern (Janice) Hebb all of Richmond and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Eleanor (Hebb) Montgomery and step-sisters; Nancy Neill and Joyce Jenkins. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 10:00am in Rewalt Funeral Home in Richmond. Reverend Mark Haller, pastor of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richmond will officiate. Visiting will be on Monday from 2 to 8pm and Tuesday from 9 to 10am. Memorial contributions are suggested for the wishes of the family.
