James Hay

James Michael Hay, 58 of Wales Township died Thursday, November 8, 2007 in Port Huron Hospital after an extended illness. He was born May 5, 1949 to the late Ralph and Ellen (Volkening) Hay. Jim graduated from Richmond High School in 1967 and attended Olivet College. He married Joianna Jones in Rochester, Michigan on April 6, 1974. Jim worked as an electrician for Ford Motor Company and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and playing baseball. He is survived by his wife Jody, brothers Gary (Terri) Hay of Milan, Ohio, Michael (Cheryl) Hay of Memphis, and sisters Nancy (Ronald) Rewalt of Casco, and Kristen Hay of Columbus. In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by his brother Steven Hay in 1974. A funeral service will be Monday, November 12, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in the Memphis Free Methodist Church, Memphis. Reverend Steven Tungate will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 8 in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond, and Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the church. Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.
